The micro-workshop will allow you to refresh your knowledge and see if there are gaps in it that need to be filled. The workshop will also give you the tools to work and communicate with management and CFOs

The workshop will equip you with basic knowledge of financial metrics and teach you how to build a profit and loss sheet (PnL) so you can show you have a great control over the product. This will make it easier for you to compete for a promotion, a pay raise or simply for more autonomy.

Introduction
How much financial responsibility the product team should have – from CPO to Product Managers. How the organizational structure is reflected in the profit and loss statement (PnL)
Financial metrics
You will learn about the financial model and what is ROI, Break Even, Payback period, Cashflow, Internal rate of return (IRR) and Net present value (NPV), Depreciation, EBIT and EBITDA
Other important metrics
We will also discuss other metrics that are components of the model, e.g. customer acquisition cost (CAC), conversion, retention and churn, MRR and ARR
Building a Profit and Loss (PnL)
During the exercise, we will build a budget for selected products to practice gained knowledge
